Jae Young Kim is a partner at Yoon & Yang LLC, and his main practice areas include fair trade, M&A, cross-border transaction, and corporate law.
Mr. Kim has extensive experience in representing a number of multinational companies in major international cartel cases, and handled collective lawsuits filed in the US relating to ramyun price cartel. He has also represented major domestic and foreign companies (i.e., Qualcomm, Samsung, GS, LG, CJ, and POSCO) on fair trade issues, such as abuse of market dominant position, unfair trade practice, and business combination. In addition, Mr. Kim has handled cross-border business transactions, such as international M&A deals, joint ventures, and technology license agreements, between Korean and foreign companies. In particular, he successfully handled corporate restructuring cases, such as organizational restructuring and split sale, of Kohap which is the first-ever domestic company to undergo a workout. He is licensed to practice law in Korea and the State of New York (US).
