Yoon & Yang advised CHA Healthcare and its Singapore consortium, Singapore Medical Group Limited (SMG) in the acquisition of a controlling share in City Fertility Centre, a renowned fertility center in Australia. CHA Healthcare is a leading healthcare provider in Korea and an affiliation of CHA Medical Group and Singapore Medical Group (SMG) is one of the largest healthcare providers in Singapore.

The transaction involved the first acquisition of an Australian healthcare company by the Korean-Singapore consortium and required detailed legal analysis under relevant laws and regulations from multi-jurisdictions.

In addition, given the target company is located in Australia, the team worked closely with the foreign law firm and accounting firm to advise on legal issues ensuring that all regulatory obstacles to the transaction are resolved.
