Yoon & Yang LLC advised the Shinhan Financial Group through Shinhan Card Co., Ltd. regarding its purchase agreement of 100 % of the shares in Prudential Vietnam Finance Company Limited owned by Prudential plc, a financial services group in the UK.  Prudential Vietnam Finance Company (PVFC) was established in 2006 as Vietnam’s first foreign consumer finance company and it is the fourth-largest company in the consumer finance market in Vietnam today.

Yoon & Yang advised on all aspects of the purchase agreement as the main counsel, including legal due diligence in Vietnam, drafting the share purchase agreement, engaging in negotiations and successfully executing the agreement. The acquisition deal was led by the Yoon & Yang team which consisted of, Zunu Lee in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, (the head of firm’s Southeast Asia Practice Group and partner of Corporate Advisory Group in Seoul), Young Woo Park, Jae Ryun Cho and foreign attorney Irene Y. Kim in the Seoul office working closely with experts at the firm’s two Vietnam offices.
