Mr. Park is a seasoned professional with over 16 years of experience at the Financial Supervisory Service, where he gained broad experience across insurance supervision and regulation. After joining the Financial Supervisory Service in 2010, he worked in the Insurance Supervision Department, the Special Investigation Department, on secondment to the Seoul Central District Public Prosecutors’ Office, and the Insurance Examination and Supervision Department, where he handled matters including supervision of insurance sales practices, investigations into securities-related unfair trading cases, systematizing guidelines for insurance products, and improving insurance regulations through amendments to the Insurance Business Act and related regulations.

He also served as the lead senior officer overseeing the continuous monitoring team of the Non-Life Insurance Examination Department, where he led major issues including timely corrective actions for non-life insurers and related administrative litigation, as well as liquidity supervision for retirement pensions. He later served as the head senior officer of the Insurance Risk Supervision Department and the Insurance Actuarial and Products Supervision Department, where he led improvements to the supervisory framework, including supporting the stable implementation of IFRS 17 and establishing a roadmap to advance actuarial supervision.

Based on his extensive practical experience and expertise in insurance accounting, insurance risk management, licensing and approval of insurance products, and the development of supervisory policies, Mr. Park provides systematic and practical advice on a wide range of insurance supervisory matters.
