Biography
Okpyeong Je is a partner at Yoon & Yang LLC. Mr. Je completed his training at the Judicial Research and Training Institute in 2009 and previously worked at STX Corporation, the Korea Asset Management Corporation, and the Financial Supervisory Service.
At the Korea Asset Management Corporation and the Financial Supervisory Service, he advised on a wide variety of corporate restructuring matters, including normalization of insolvent companies and project financing, the main debtor group system, and voluntary arrangement/workout/bankruptcy (rehabilitation/insolvency) of financial institutions. He also has an extensive experience in assignment/management/recovery of claims, as well as the National Tax Collection Act and the Act on Contracts to Which the State is a Party. He is recognized for his expertise in newly emerging areas of finance, such as information technology (IT) and personal credit information.
Mr. Je consistently demonstrates remarkable success in advising on examinations and sanctions by the financial supervisory authorities on financial companies. Based on his time at the Capital Markets Investigation Department at the Financial Supervisory Service, he delivers notable success with unfair trade investigations, thus providing exceptional service to clients in the financial regulatory sector.
