Seong-joong Kim is a partner at Yoon & Yang LLC and his main practice areas are financial/capital market disputes, financial consumer protection regulations, insurance, media disputes and commercial disputes, etc.
Based on in-depth understanding of the overall industries, Mr. Kim effectively deals with a wide variety of legal matters. As a judge advocate for the Republic of Korea Army, he built hands-on experiences in construction and real estate, state contracts, national properties and BTL projects at the Defense Installations Agency. Since he was admitted to the Korean bar, he has handled various cases involving financial/media/commercial disputes, insurances and corporate criminal defense, while advising on corporate law and M&As at the same time. In particular, Mr. Kim worked at head offices of commercial banks, where he closely communicated with customers by providing rapid and reasonable solutions for diverse issues they faced, such as regulations on protection of financial consumers, and follow-up measures on incomplete sales of private equity funds, etc.
