Irene Y. Kim is a senior foreign attorney at Yoon & Yang LLC, and her main practice areas include M&A deals and foreign investment, overseas investment, cross-border transaction and tax-related issues, based on her extensive experience as a trusted advisor to leading domestic and foreign companies, including the IRS (US) and Samsung Electronics (Korea).

After graduating from Georgetown University Law Center in 2012, she has handled advisory matters related to a wide range of cross-border M& projects, including M&A deals, foreign investment, overseas investment, and joint ventures, for clients in the US and Korea. In particular, Ms. Kim specializes in M&A deals in various industries where semiconductor companies, big tech firms, financial institutions and private equity funds participate.

Prior to joining Yoon & Yang, Ms. Kim also represented the IRS, multinational companies, financial institutions and private equity firms and advised their tax audit teams on tax issues derived from M&A, restructuring, projects and business transfer/acquisition deals. In addition, as senior in-house counsel for the DS Division of Samsung Electronics, she accumulated broad industrial knowledge while handling cross-border transactions with major clients such as Big Tech firms. Based on such understanding and known accumulated over the years, she provides legal advisory service that clients need to make key decision.
