Biography
Jong Hyuk Choi is a partner at Yoon & Yang, and his practice areas are general criminal matters, corporate investigation, capital market, and inspection/sanction of financial companies.
Before joining our law firm, Mr. Choi served as a prosecutor at the prosecutors’ office handling anti-corruption crime investigations and relevant matters, such as the Supreme Prosecutors’ Office, Jeongeup Branch (special & planning) of the Jeonju District Prosecutors’ Office, the Seoul Central District Prosecutors’ Office (special & homicide), the Gwangju District Prosecutors’ Office (dispatched to the “Optimus” investigation team at Seoul Central District Prosecutors’ Office), and the Daegu District Prosecutors’ Office (environment & insurance), and he also served as a prosecutorial research officer (anti-corruption division) at the Supreme Prosecutors’ Office. In addition, Mr. Choi was dispatched as a legal advisor (deputy general prosecutor) at the Financial Supervisory Service, where he accumulated expertise and experience related to corporate and economic crimes, such as uncovering securities/accounting-related offenses and imposing sanctions on financial companies and its executives/employees for violations.
