Biography
Young Su Park is a partner at Yoon & Yang LLC, and his main practice area is corporate litigation.
After being admitted to the Korean bar in 2006 and completing his legal training at the Judicial Research and Training Center, Mr. Park worked as a judge advocate of the Republic of Korea Army (Army Headquarters, 28th Infantry Division, Logistics Command) for three years. Since joining the firm in 2012, Mr. Park has handled various corporate litigations (civil and commercial affairs, management rights disputes and financial disputes, etc.) and provided clients with relevant legal advice. He also has broad experiences in white collar crimes such as embezzlement or breach of trust by the management of a company. After obtaining his LL.M. at University of Southern California Gould School of Law, he was seconded to the LA office of Blank Rome LLP before coming back to Yoon & Yang LLC. He has been recognized by The Legal Times (Litigation Practice) as a Rising Star and Leading Lawyer (2022), a Leading Lawyer (2024), and was named to Who's Who Legal Korea (2025).

[Civil and Commercial Affairs]
- Handled litigation regarding the dividend claim eligibility of dissenting shareholders in a major trading company's merger
- Handled a contractual payment lawsuit between a major general trading company and a U.S. hedge fund
- Represented Asiana Airlines in litigation on payment of deposit in M&A with HDC
- Represented a client in a deposit forfeiture lawsuit following a failed M&A transaction
- Defended a client in a subrogation claim lawsuit related to a fire incident in Yeoksam-dong
- Represented a client in a damages lawsuit related to the manufacturing of diagnostic kits
- Represented British American Tobacco Korea in the case where the National Health Insurance Service (NHIS) sought compensation against tobacco companies regarding insurance payouts to lung cancer patients
- Represented a subcontractor in the case where a guaranty insurance company sought compensation for insurance payouts it made to the insured (construction company) upon occurrence of an insured accident against the subcontractor; the Supreme Court reversed and remanded the lower courts’ decision on the ground that the fact that a rehabilitation procedure was commenced against a company did not constitute an “insured accident” (Supreme Court Decision 2018Da275574 rendered on February 27, 2020)
- Represented a client in litigation on accounts receivables against companies located in the Gaeseong Industrial Complex in North Korea
- Represented an asset management company in litigation regarding business obstruction injunction and minimum guaranteed rent damages claim related to a facilities management agreement
- Represented a client in litigation regarding distribution of dividends upon energy saving
- Advised a fashion company on corporate restructuring

- Represented an electronics service company in investigations and trials for a criminal case related to its labor union
- Represented a fund seller in criminal trials related to the Lime Fund scandal
- Represented a client in criminal trials related to the breach of the Political Funds Act and occupational embezzlement
- Represented a client in criminal trials related to breach of the Fair Transactions in Subcontracting Act
- Represented former CEO of Shinhan Bank in a criminal case
- Represented an election commissioner and account manager in the case involving the violation of the Public Official Election Act
