Yeon Jeong Chae is a partner at Yoon & Yang LLC and her main practice areas include corporate law, foreign investment, M&As and entertainment.
After completing the Judicial Research and Training Institute (33rd Class), Yeon Jeong Chae has advised on complex cross-border transactions for over 20 years, including overseas divestitures by Korean companies, inbound investments by foreign investors, and joint venture incorporations. She has built broad experience advising clients ranging from multinational corporations to mid-sized Korean companies and startups on a wide range of legal issues, including fundraising and investment, data privacy, foreign exchange transactions, and employment and labor matters.
In particular, she has in-depth understanding of the gaming and entertainment sectors, having handled numerous relevant projects such as equity investments in Korean game companies by global big-tech companies, acquisitions of Korean game companies by foreign funds, and legal advisory services for overseas game developers.
