In Hee Lee is a defense and aerospace specialist with a combination of public-sector experience as a Republic of Korea Navy Judge Advocate (18th Class) and at the Defense Acquisition Program Administration (DAPA), as well as senior in-house leadership experience at major Korean defense contractors. In the Navy, she served in key roles including Chief of the Legislation Division for Republic of Korea Navy Headquarters, Head of the Legal Affairs Office for Republic of Korea Navy 2nd Fleet, and Head of the Legal Affairs Office for ROK–U.S. Combined Forces Command. While at DAPA, she handled complex civil and administrative matters, including defense contract disputes, revocation of sanctions for ineligible bidders, and state compensation claims. After moving to the private sector, she served as a partner of the defense industry team at One Law Partners, and later as the head of Legal Affairs Team (managing director) of Hanwha Defense and Hanwha Aerospace, where she oversaw major legal issues including defense exports and M&As. Lee also participated directly in the entire process of negotiating and concluding contracts for export of the K9 self-propelled howitzer programs to Poland and Egypt, which has helped her obtain experts in global defense export negotiations and contract practices.
