Hyung Rok Kim is a partner at Yoon & Yang LLC, and his main practice areas are criminal, finance·capital market, fair trade, and tax matters.
Mr. Kim was appointed as a prosecutor at the Seoul Southern District Prosecutors’ Office in 2002 and served in key positions at the Seoul Central and Southern District Prosecutors’ Offices, including the special investigation divisions and the financial investigation division, where he gained extensive experience handling cases involving financial/securities matters, virtual assets, and public and corporate crimes. He last served in 2023 as the Deputy Chief Prosecutor at the Suwon District Prosecutors’ Office.
Subsequently, he was seconded to the Board of Audit and Inspection (BAI) as a legal advisor, where he provided legal advice on matters related to public office, audits of public institutions, and administrative adjudication.
Since October 2023, Mr. Kim has been a partner at Yoon & Yang LLC, primarily handling investigations and responses related to unfair trading in the capital markets, as well as representing major corporations in criminal matters and providing legal advice across various practice areas.
